I've only ever come here for breakfast. But the food is very good. It's a step up from your basic coney island. Less grease in your food and in the dining room. The service is attentive and friendly. The prices are a bit higher than the average coney but worth it. Everything I've had seems very fresh. The coffee is good too. My husband usually orders the Southwest Skillet. Good portion & nice quality chorizo. I usually get a veggie omelet or skillet. The Garden Delight is good so is the Mediterranean. It's on a corner spot so the atmosphere is sunny and bright. Very welcoming.

Great Breakfast and Lunch. I come here often! The waitresses are great. Right off I-75. Very quick if you are also in a hurry.

This classic coney place is located close to Oakland U. I have not been blown away nor dissapointed after ordering a luch here. It is a good place to meet people that attend or work at OU.

How do you review a Coney Island when their a dime a dozen in this city? This one's different from the others, but it was just okay. I was on this side of town doing some Secretary of State stuff, and didn't feel like going to my usual Saturday morning coney for breakfast. I thought it was time to change things up, and figured it was time to give this place a shot. On the up side, this place has a really cool interior. Cooler then most ,which all kind of the run the same insides after a while. Fresh, modern and sheik, what a difference a cool interior will do. I looked at the menu, and there were plenty of options, prices a little higher then a Leos or a Kirby. I went with two eggs, hash browns and toast. The eggs were okay, Hash browns looked kind of funny. One half was dark and cooked different and the other was normal...brown on the outside and still cooked on the inside. It tasted all the same, but looks like maybe he cooked one part more then the other? Very weird. Funny enough, the Toast was the best part. Don't ask me why. Better then the generic toast, I liked it. The only downfall? After I got my food I never saw my server again. I mean, she was still in the restaurant, but waiting on other tables. I don't know if they switched sections, but the other girl started waiting on me and both forgot that I had coffee. I finished my coffee early in the meal and could have used a refill, but couldn't get my servers attention. Eventually the other server came over to clear my plates and I asked her for a coffee refill. I stayed since I really needed the coffee badly. Overall, this place isn't bad, just not a spot I would call my regular coney spot.

Really fast Service. Patty melt is awesome with lite onion. Coneys are good too. Onions are slimey on burgers. Order light or no onion. Girls are cute but not under dressed, like other reviewers have said.

Cleanest Coney I've ever been to. Very friendly (and beautiful) staff. Great spot for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon. If you have noticed the Hani or Chicken Tender Pita getting smaller at other "Coney" locations, Spargo will lift your spirits with their hefty portion.

Chicken gyro was way overcooked. Came out way too fast to be fresh. Leaves me to wonder if chickens can bear whip marks. Avoid.

Not only is the service exceptional, but the place is very clean and has great ownership. The food is also great. The 5 star rating however is due to the fact that ALL of the waitresses are beautiful...

Would hardly consider this place to be a Coney Island. Such a cool vibe when you walls in and sit down, it's almost like you've entered into another town. This place has been here for a long time, and everytime I walk in, it feels like I'm in a major downtown area. I love the look and style of the place. The menu is simple and offers great choices leaving you satisfied and full each time I go there. The staff is one of a kind. Very beautiful and friendly. Clean and good food all the time. Love this place

I love a good Coney Island. I am a Greek salad lover! This Greek salad however, left me wanting more. There was almost no toppings on the salad and the Greek dressing was awful. Tasted like is came right from Gordon's Food Service. Gross. Won't be going here for a salad again.

It's hard to critique a koney island, since they're everywhere. However, I think it's safe to say that Spargos had been one of the nicest ones I've eaten at in a long time. The servers that work here are a lot of fun. Not just because the girls are good looking but they know what good customer service is. They bring fun to your table. The fish n' chips I had weren't the best quality by any koney island standards but everything that came with it was very good - pita bread, good coleslaw, and your choice of potato for fire an additional $1. Most koney's don't have a patio, which makes this more enjoyable. If you're looking for a koney island with slightly higher quality and better meal selections, this is the place to go!

Swrvice is horrible. Waitresses are so flat and unfriendly. Food tastes frozen majority of time. Asked if i could get a to go cup for the pop i had purchased and my waitress said she would have to charge me for a nother drink plus to go cup if i wanted it to go. Beautiful interior, but worst service

I love this Coney Island. I go to Oakland University and have frequented this place many times both dine in and take out and have never been dissappointed. They serve crinkle cut fries, awesome salads, and best of all their soups are delicious! The staff is extremely friendly, and the establishment itself is very clean. There is even outdoor dining during the warm months. Great coney island!

This is the busiest place at lunch time in Auburn Hills. The owner has done very well with a strategy of getting quick service while also enjoying sitting down for lunch. This is not fast food although faster than most of the fast food chains in the area. I have tried many things on the menu some items were great while others were just good. My favorite is the fish and chips- it has been great every time.

If you are looking for "FAST" and are not concerned with the quality of your food, Spargo's Coney Island is your restaurant. I think they should advertise "we get em' in and get em' out" as their slogan. I stopped in for lunch today with a colleague and ordered a saganaki as an appetizer and a Greek salad with euro meat as my meal. My coworker order chicken fingers with fries. In less than three minutes (90 seconds) my salad and the chicken fingers showed up. 5 minutes later the flaming cheese came to the table. I left my salad untouched until after we ate the saganaki. The check was left on the table a good 12 minutes in to our experience. Despite the fact that were checked out, I ordered a rice pudding for dessert (optimistic that it would be home made), but sent it back as it was just nasty! I asked for it to be warmed and with cinnamon but our waitress who had her painted on tights, said they were out of cinnamon. The rice was crunchy, it was unstirred and cold, watery and just nasty. I'm not sure what component of my lunch was off, but I had to leave work early as I was in so much pain with abdominal cramping. If you are seeking "FAST" & have no consideration for quality, Spargo's Coney Island is your restaurant. I won't be back.

With a number of offices and a University nearby, Spargo is the place where the locals hang out and everyone knows your name. Now I'm certainly not a local and this was my first time at Spargo's, but I could see why everyone chooses to come back time and time again. Their wait staff is friendly and humorous and they pay close attention to what you order and need. I ordered the tuna melt with a side of fries, both of which were hefty portions that tasted delicious. Just a great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. They're menu is extensive so you're bound to find something you like.

Best coney island- esque restaurant in the area! Very clean (unlike a lot of coneys) but very fast and friendly service. I go for breakfast and lunch and have never never left unhappy with my meal. Great prices, friendly waitstaff and yummy menu! try their Italian wedding soup if it's on special or any of their breakfast items. Huge portions!

Went for lunch with co-workers. Got the absolute worst meal I've ever had in any restaurant, ever. Mac n Cheese almost made me vomit. My coworker didn't believe me so he made the mistake of trying it. Same reaction. 3rd coworker for some reason wanted to be a part of this so he also tried. 3 bites, all spit into napkins. Anothet of us got biscuits and gravy, returned as inedible. Owner offered choice of $1 off or fries. Total joke. We'll never be back. Don't be the 4th guy who wants to see how horrible this is for yourself, there are plenty of much better option in area.

Spargo's is a diner tucked in one of the many business strips on University. Their food is on par with many of the independent diners in the Detroit area - definitely no worse than Leo's. They make a pretty decent chicken gyro, and their desserts are way better. (Remember folks, even if peanut butter is a sin, it's so worth it.) Actually, I'd put their gyro over National's. That being said, this isn't a place that I'd drive across town for. If I want a tried and true gyro, there's always Greektown. Still, if you work or live in the area, it's an alternative to the chain restaurants in the area. Plus they have one feature that seemed kind of odd to me; they have outdoor seating! It's like a real restaurant and a greasy spoon had a kid named Spargo! Honestly it's the only diner I've ever heard of that has outdoor seating. Again, not a reason to drive twenty miles, but definitely a plus.
